Gameplay of Super Smash Bros
Unlike traditional fighting games, Super Smash Bros. aims to knockout opponents off the stage rather than depleting life bars. The more damage a character accumulates, represented as a percentage, the more they get launched. The objective is to push your opponent off-bounds.
Controls and Attacks
Super Smash Bros. controls are designed to be simple. The A button is used for standard attacks and the B button for special attacks. Players can also perform stronger 'Smash' attacks by pressing the A button along with the directional pad. During battles, different items drop randomly which can be used to deal damage to opponents, heal, or provide power-ups. These items include various weapons, healing food, and 'Smash Balls' that enable a player's character to launch a massively powerful special attack.
Stages
The stages or battle arenas in Super Smash Bros. are inspired by different Nintendo franchises. Each stage brings unique challenges and opportunities, such as moving platforms, stage hazards, and interactive elements that can influence the outcome of the battle.
Final Smash
Final Smash is the most powerful move in a player's arsenal. Activated by breaking a 'Smash Ball,' this move can significantly alter the course of the game, dishing out enormous damage or even instantly knocking out opponents.
Trophies and Rewards
Players can earn various trophies and rewards depicting various Nintendo characters, items, and locations by completing certain tasks or achieving specific goals within the game. These serve as in-game collectables and often provide some back-story or trivia about the respective franchises.
