Pokemon Uranium is a fan-made game in the Pokemon franchise. Set in the new Tandor region, the game offers a unique storyline completely separate from the official series.
Story
The story of Pokemon Uranium revolves around a young Pokemon trainer in the Tandor region, who embarks on a journey to become a Pokemon Champion while also investigating the mysterious nuclear meltdowns that are plaguing the region. Their mother, a famous Pokemon Ranger disappeared in a nuclear explosion years ago.
Gameplay
The gameplay stays authentic to the traditional Pokemon games. Players explore the region, catch Pokemon, battle against other trainers, and attain badges from the gym leaders. After earning all eight badges, they may challenge the Pokemon league to become the Champion.
Unique Features
While being based on the traditional concept of Pokemon games, Pokemon Uranium introduces some unique features, such as a brand new class of Nuclear Pokemon. These are Pokemon that have been affected by radiation, switching their type to Nuclear. They can deal strong damage but are also more vulnerable to attacks. Additionally, Pokemon Uranium introduces 200 all-new Pokemon, some being new evolutions for existing Pokemon.
Multiple Game Modes
Beyond the main story mode, Pokemon Uranium offers other gameplay modes like Nuzlocke Mode, inspired by the Nuzlocke Challenge popular within the Pokemon community. In this mode, any Pokemon that faints is considered dead and must be released.
Online Features
Pokemon Uranium also features online trading and battles, allowing players to interact and compete with each other in the Pokemon world. This offers a fresh take on the commonly single-player Pokemon gaming experience.
Endgame
The game doesn't end with becoming the Champion. Post-Gameplay introduces the Battle Championship, a tournament format battle facility, and many legendary Pokemon for players to obtain. There are new locations to explore as well.
